Good adjunct
I don't expect to see a visible difference in my skin with this product, but I do believe this will help prevent sun damage along with sunscreen and sun protection. I've noticed no side effects from taking this.

I used retinol and got dry & red skin
If you have sensitive skin and always get red skin, you should protect your skin from the sun first. Now I know I can’t use retinol. I have nice skin but I just wanna try retinol 1 time because of reviews on YouTube. This makes my face less red when I go outside under sunshine a few hours.

Everyone should take this.
I can’t believe that this stuff isn’t in every medicine cabinet in the world. One of the only beauty supplements that’s actually clinically proven, has science to back it up, and is recommended by dermatologists the world over, this is some extra insurance to protect yourself against the sun. You should still wear sunscreen, but this helps you go the extra mile. My dermatologist told me to take one every morning for the rest of my life. How do you argue with that?

A week at the beach without a sunburn!
I haven't been able to spend more that 30 minutes in the sun, no matter how much sun block I use, in years without getting a horrible sunburn. I just spent a week on the beach with my daughter having a great time and barely even got pink. I am thrilled!

happy cheeks - help with photo & UV sensitivity
Grateful for a product that you can combine with sunscreen to reduce your photo & UV sensitivity. My cheeks are the easiest to burn & I think rosascea sufferers & those with Lupus would benefit tremendously from this product. Thank you!!

I Can Go Outside Again
I usually burn within 10 mins if I go outside in the sun. Even with sunscreen, I may not look burned but my skin still feels like it. I tried heliocare and I take two daily. It has improved dark spots, freckles and I don’t get burned in the sun, with or without sunscreen. I don’t feel burned either. I recommend this to anyone who is easily burned. Love this!

Protection from the inside
I burn easily and spend hours on the water in the summer. As much as I lather on the sunscreen and wear SPF clothing, I still miss areas from time to time. It's hard to objectively state this works but I do notice a difference when I take it and I believe it helps. I don't use it during the winter months but just started again for springtime when I'm spending more time outdoors.

It works
Though I use sunscreen regularly, I usually turn a little pink on vacations. I used this product daily along with sunscreen on my vacation and didn’t turn pink at all. I will continue to take this product daily.

Super supplemental sun protection
I use Heliocare, along with a topical mineral sunscreen, every day because I have very pale skin that burns within minutes and Lupus that makes my skin extremely photo-intolerant. This even helped to prevent my skin from burning while vacationing in the Caribbean, though I took two capsules each day instead of one. I highly recommend this if you are looking for extra sun protection to supplement your regular sunscreen.

Part of my daily routine
I've been taking this every day for about 3 years now. I originally started taking it for added sun protection. Not sure if it helps as I always use products with sunscreen in them, but it certainly can't hurt and it helps my skin.

Smoother skin, no burn
I'm 49 and recently spent a week in Key West, then a week in Mexico. I was in the sun most of the day every day. I used sunscreen but usually only applied it once. My skin would normally be wrecked (wrinkly, spotty). With this product my skin looks smooth, hydrated and even-toned. I got very brown/ tan but didn't burn and am very pleased with the product. It's about $30/month, so probably too expensive to use every month. But definitely worth the spend for sunny times.

Can’t Hurt, Might Help
My dermatologist recommended this supplement. She said she takes it and that studies show it might reduce skin sensitivity to sun. I’m religious about sunscreen, so I don’t know how much it is helping. But my attitude is “can’t hurt, might help”. So, I continue to use it.

Seem to work
My dermatologist recommended these. They seem to work well and do not cause any stomach discomfort, even if taken on an empty stomach. Low cost for the protection.

Not sure if it does anything?
I suppose the only "real" way to test this is unsafe: see if I get sunburned any less this summer. I'm not going to do that, so I'll say that these are easy to take, the price is kinda okay but borders on expensive, and I suppose I like the idea of taking something that could help me prevent sun damage. Impossible to see if it works, though.

Skin protection
Heliocare and niacinamide were recommended by my dermatologist as a preventative for skin cancer. It is a plant derived supplement. I take medication that has a higher risk for developing skin cancer. I’ve had two basal cell carcinoma. My parents have had melanoma, squamous and basal cell cancers excised. Time will tell how effective this is. Initially, I could only find Heliocare without niacinamide, so purchased the supplement. I believe Lovelyskin has the combo. They have sales and coupons. Love Lovelyskin!

A must-have for redheads
As an *extremely* fair-skinned redhead who lives in Texas & loves to swim, I can't go without this product! It doesn't substitute for good sunscreen but definitely makes me feel 100 times more protected.

Prevent and protect
Love this stuff! I take this on vacation in sunny places and summer in Los Angeles where I live. I have fair skin and never can be too careful. I don’t take it often in winter here but it seems to work well as a back up in case I miss a spot with Spf on days outdoors. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
