My dermatologist told me to buy Heliocare as an extra protection against the sun’s harmful rays. I have severe reactions to the sun resulting in hives and acute itchiness. Heliocare is from a fern. I can't see effects of this supplement immediately upon using but I believe that it is helping me in combination with seeking shade and using my sunscreen religiously. I bought this to supplement my sun protection products. The sun at altitude is very strong, and I already use daily sunscreen, sun sleeves, hats. This product has been shown to improve sun protection. I'm not sure if it does help, but it certainly doesn't hurt and I tolerate it fine.
