Hormonal Acne
I am 25 with hormonal acne and only retinol really works for me. This is vitamin C with a little bit of retinol and a lot of brightening agents. I like that it does also work for those with cystic acne, but don't expect immediate results. It is fine under makeup. Since it does have retinol, it is a little darker yellow than typical vitamin C serums.

Miracle Serum!
I am 60+ with fair, sensitive skin. I've had rosacea for about 25 years and none of the pills and creams my dermatologist recommended made a difference and I discontinued using them a few years ago. Besides the redness on cheeks and nose, there was a spot on the bridge of my nose where the skin seemed thicker and raised. I just figured I'd have to live with it. I started having issues with acne in recent years that is probably related to anti-cancer/hormonal meds. I began using iS Clinical products a few weeks ago and only recently added iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ and Hydra-Cool Serum intermittently to my routine. I was not expecting miracles. I was just trying a few new clarity products. I looked in the mirror this morning and realized the redness has faded, the thick spot on my nose is diminishing and the acne is gone except for one little spot (which I'm sure will also disappear). My skin feels softer, too which may be attributed to a combination of several iS Clinical products. I'm so excited I had to write this review. These serums will now be a regular part of my skin care regimen. It makes me wonder why my dermatologist never recommended this line of skincare products.

Great for acne scars
This serum is great for fading acne scars, even old ones. I like that it imparts that benefit along with anti-aging properties. It smells a little bit like gasoline to me, but the smell goes away irmmediately and it absorbs right into the skin with no residue. A great serum if you have scars of any kind.
