Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation
LOVE this foundation! I never thought I would like a mineral powder at my age, but this product is sooo good! I was looking for an easier to apply foundation that would provide coverage for my redness and dark spots as well as feel light weight on my skin. This foundation applies quickly and easily .. no real need to “blend”. Using the hydration spray after applying the foundation is key as this product melts the foundation into the skin. Doesn’t look like makeup and it prevents transfer issues. I’m now a JI fan!

My go-to foundation.
I use the Jan Iredale primer beforehand (Smooth Affair). It helps keep my face more matte. While this gives light coverage, the upside is my face does not look heavy with foundation. It’s natural. I also use as concealer because concealer sticks don’t blend like this does. I found a foundation brush of another brand that is more dense. I have bought this foundation multiple times.

I had always used a liquid foundation- until tried this. Now I won't use anything else. I start with a primer and then use the JI sponge to apply to the areas that need a little more coverage, like around my nose and my under eye area and then lightly dust my face using a brush. Coverage is perfect and a little goes a long way. Finish with a misting spray and your skin will look fabulous!

I really wanted to like this mineral foundation. I have been using a liquid foundation and found it settles into fine lines and pores. I researched this product and was hoping that it would be great for me, however, it didn’t really give the coverage I liked as much as liquid foundation (another brand). I found this clumped in spots and looked like I had not blended it even though I had used the Jane Iredale primer. It just sat on top of my skin and settled into every line. I checked out all the tutorials to see if I was doing something wrong, but I had followed them exactly as described. I’ve gone back to liquid foundation and will use this over it for any concealer needs, but it won’t work for me for foundation itself. Also, the porcelain is way too light for my complexion. Even though I do wear porcelain/ivory foundation shades, this was way too pale for my skin tone. Disappointed, but love the primer from this line.

Holy grail
This has been my holy grail foundation for the last several years. I love it so much! I have never been able to find a good match to my medium, olive/yellow skin with all the other brands I tried at Sephora. This not only matches to a tee, it looks so beautiful and soft. It also has SPF and I am confident using it (in addition to regular face sunscreen) has reduced my skin aging. I am 40 and look 25 (as per the younger men that persue me!). I think using sunscreen followed with this powder sunscreen is the way to go.

Best Foundation Ever
This is my “go to” foundation every time. Like most people, I try other products only to be disappointed and come back to the Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Mineral foundation. I use it with the Jane Iredale primer and setting spray. It’s so lightweight, never settles in wrinkles, yet gives really great coverage and a glow from within. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend doing so. I wear golden glow for my light-medium skin tone.
