I bought this for my husband as he has sensitive skin. I've never used the Skinceuticals cult version, but thought I would buy this for him because it is a much lower price point - it is a very good product. He uses it every morning and it doesn't irritate his skin. He is a bit dry so the Vitamin E helps. He is on his second bottle I believe and will continue to use.
