Used this sunscreen back in the day, thought I’d give it another run. Even though it’s very thick, and probably a bad choice for some skin tones, it works like a sunscreen plus primer for my fair complexion. I warm it between my fingers and spread until I achieve an even application, and rub in. For me, there’s no white cast, but rather a blurring/brightening effect that I love. Also, despite a lack of moisturizing ingredients, this sunscreen leaves a moist barrier on the skin. Works just fine with makeup. Love the purity of the zinc and complete lack of scent. None of that shiny-sheeny finish that I definitely don’t prefer. It is way expensive for the size of the bottle, though.

Doesn't make my Fitzpatrick UV skin look ghostly, sweat profusely, or break out
Hello! I have Fitzpatrick IV skin so I'm highly prone to melasma. Yay me... I have spent TONS of money trying to reduce/control melasma which is very difficult with FIV skin as many of the lasers and peels aren't feasible for my skin type. My best tool is a good, physical sunscreen. If you do a little research, you'll learn that SPF ratings aren't all equal. The best thing you can do to ensure you're getting the protection you need is to focus more on the % zinc rather than the SPF number. This product has the highest Zinc percent I've found. One would think it would make my FIV skin white, right? It does for the first few minutes, but after it's had time to settle, I have only the slightest lightness. It's so slight that I don't feel like I need to cover it with makeup. I'll go out with just the sunscreen. Also, this doesn't make me sweat like I'm running a marathon. Elta, I'm looking at you... Ick! Love this product!!!

High-Level Protection
This is my favorite sunscreen, and, believe me, I have tried many. I like that this sunscreen has 18.5% zinc oxide in it. I use Retin-A and am prone to melasma, so I need serious protection from the sun, and this sunscreen fits the bill. It does come out thick from the tube, but I find that it will go on smoothly if I emulsify it first in the palm of my hand by mixing it around with my index finger. It does initially leave a faint whitish cast (I have a medium complexion). However, I find that the whitish cast disappears by the time I've finished applying my makeup (10 minutes). It leaves my complexion with a healthy glow, and I receive compliments from other people about my skin's nice glow. It is difficult to squeeze the sunscreen out of the tube as you reach the end of the tube. I resolve that issue by cutting off the top of the tube with kitchen shears and using my fingers to scoop out the sunscreen that remains in the tube.

Obagi Nu-Derm UV block SPF 32
I've used Obagi products for approx 15 years and I love their products. However, with the Sunscreen SPF 32, I can't tolerate the smell. After about 30 mins of applying the sunscreen it smells like a very strong metallic. I bought SPF 50 last year and that's the reason I wanted to try SPF 32 because the SPF 50 had the exact same smell after applying. Sunscreen is so important but I can't get past the smell. I probably will not purchase this product again.

Like the product says...it's a physical sunscreen. This product relies on zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to protect you from the sun. It is a thick product! It is moisturizing and goes on leaving a white cast. The cast eventually settles down and soaks in after about 20 minutes. A few years ago i used this as an everyday sunscreen but switched to a tinted sunscreen. I like to have this on hand just in case i need it but you really do not get much product for the price. There are better deals out there. Also, to get all the product out of the tube I end up cutting the tube in half as the product gets low. It is not easy to do because the tube is hard.

Love the product but hate the container
I bought this physical UV SPF 32 before, and the product itself was great, easy to spread on my face, and worked wonderfully with the application of the foundation on the top of it nevertheless, it was very difficult to squeeze the product out from the plastic container but was possible. And this time, I bought it again, it came with the same type of container, and for reason that I do not understand, the product is even harder to be squeezed out from its plastic container, and I do consider myself a strong woman. The plastic container seems very much the same to me as the last time, but the product quantity seems less, and only after a week of using it, making effort to squeeze the product out, the plastic container now looks as it is partially vacuum with suction, and makes it impossible to squeeze anything out, even I can see through the light that there is still some sunscreen lotion inside. It is unfortunate that I like the product and now I have to cut the plastic container to transfer the product to another container, so I can make use what is left inside. Now, I wonder if that still provides me the same benefit that the sunscreen lotion from its original container or it may lose its potency? I hope they change the container, and make it easier to use.
