Been using this product for a year. It helps prevent any future dark pigmentation on my face. Can easily wear foundation over it if desired. Using a little bit goes a long way.

Love this sunscreen
Another Obagi product I’ve recently tried and really love! It goes on so smoothly and easily, doesn’t leave a white coating on my skin nor does it make me look shiny. Living in FL, sunscreen is #1. Though I walk several miles every day, I always have this on for all intermittent sun exposure. And I treat my neck the same as my face. Almost 65 and love my skin!!

What happened to the formula?
I used to love this stuff. It was my holy grail suncreen. I think I either got a bad batch or Obagi recently changed the formula. It is way too greasy now and smells strongly of suncreen. Very disappointed.

Good sunscreen - not a moisturizer
Reliable matte sunscreen. It goes on chalky but within 30 minutes it has blended into the skin. It doesn't moisturize which is a downside, so it can still leave your skin feeling dry. In the past, I would blend Obagi sunscreen with a dollop of moisturizer and then apply. Now I just prefer to use this as an added protection with my SPF moisturizer on days that I know I'm going to be outdoors for more than just a couple of hours.

It works
I have used Obagi products and normally don't complain about their quality. However, this product has a few problems. Firstly, it stings for a few seconds if your skin is dry. Secondly, it is thick and white and has grainy consistency. Almost as if there is very fine sand mixed in. Thirdly, it has a chemical scent. After the application: skin feels smooth and soft, it doesn't seem to block pores, doesn't seem to form little latex-y pieces after a while. I only use dry foundation. It works well with dry. I won't purchase it due to initially described problems.

Too greasy now
I just got a new tube of this Obagi Matte Sunscreen and found it to be very different than past tubes of the same product. I am glad to see I’m not the only one who is seeing a marked difference. It’s greasy and makes my face shine. I can’t use this anymore if this is the new norm.

Not extremely matte—not great for oily skin
I have very oily skin and have been looking for a matte finish daily sunblock . I had hoped this was my solution and while it is better than other non-matte sunscreens, I still have a dewy glow, which is not what I need. I have been fighting dewy glow for 35 years. A little goes a very long way and I like that it can be put on in a thin layer. I just wish it was more matte after application. I will finish the tube I have, but I will not buy it again.

effective sun block
I like this product. It goes on white—the zinc oxide--but immediately is absorbed and leaves no greasy residue on the skin. Perhaps, the word "matte" is confusing if people were thinking it would have a color to it. But, I prefer it the way it is--I like that it goes on colorless and blends right in to my skin.
