Become your own makeup artist with Artis makeup brushes.
Designed with innovative brush heads, ergonomic brush handles and densely packed bristles, Artis makeup brushes were created to deliver exceptional results regardless of formula type. That means your favorite liquid, powder and cream products will pair flawlessly with any of the Artis brushes!
Artis, the Latin word for “skill, method or technique,” began when creator Matthew Waitesmith came to realize that the entire category of beauty tools were designed based on the “artist applies to canvas” mentality—someone applying product on someone or something else. Waitesmith set out to create a totally different category of beauty tools that enhanced the process of makeup self-application, eventually introducing a line of tools that enabled artists and makeup connoisseurs alike to create flawless looks with comfort and ease. Meet Artis—Better Beauty, by Design.

Top 5 Artis Q & A
1. Why are Artis makeup brushes different than the makeup brushes I already have?
Artis brushes are designed for self-application, unlike traditional makeup tools that were designed for applying product on someone or something else. Artis makeup brushes stand apart because they were specially developed to fit more comfortably in the hand and ergonomically improve the process of makeup application. Additionally, the innovative bristles, called CosmeFibre, pair perfectly with liquid, cream or powder products regardless of brush shape or size.
2. What is CosmeFibre?
CosmeFibre are trademarked, man-made brush fibers that are more resistant to chemicals, UV damage and wear. Additionally, the CosmeFibre fibers even feature a memory that helps them maintain their shape. The tip of each CosmeFibre is tapered to the size of around 3 microns, which can’t be seen by the naked eye, to deliver the most gentle makeup application and provide superior delivery of your favorite makeup formulas. Each Artis brush contains 3-10 times more individual fibers than their closest makeup brush counterpart, enhancing overall application and brush performance.
3. How long do Artis brushes last?
With proper usage, Artis brushes can last many years. However, it is impossible to predict exactly how long each brush will last, as there are a number of variables that can affect the lifespan of a brush. This is one of the many reasons that Artis chose materials that are more lasting and durable than animal fibers or wood.
4. Are Artis brushes vegan-friendly?
Brushes containing natural brush hairs from animals such as goat, pony or weasel can sometimes trigger sensitivities. Artis chose to use man-made fibers to avoid those sensitivities while providing consistent manufacturing quality. Artis brushes are 100% animal-free, are never tested on animals and are cruelty-free. They believe in this mantra so deeply that they have trademarked “Animal-Free Beauty.”
5. How do I clean my Artis brushes?
Artis brushes are unique, making the cleansing process unique as well. For best results, use the Brush Cleaning Pad and Foaming Brush Cleanser, which thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the fibers. The pad and cleanser are also formulated so that dry time only takes a few minutes.
Dispense a small amount of foam onto the Cleaning Pad surface.
Dip the tips of the brush into the foam and move the tips back and forth across the clean surface until all makeup debris and foam residue is thoroughly removed from the brush.
For removal of really sticky or stubborn pigments, Artis recommends repeating the procedure several times until the residue is fully removed.
Occasionally, residue buildup may occur, causing fibers to cluster together or stiffen. To alleviate this concern, rinse the brush under warm or hot water until all residue is washed away.
To clean the handle and grip pad, use a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.
