What it is: A salicylic-acid–based cleanser aimed at clarifying pores, reducing oil, and combating acne. How it performs: Works well to reduce congestion and breakouts without the added surface exfoliation of an AHA. Salicylic acid’s lipid-soluble nature means it gets into the pore lining to break up excess sebum and keep blackheads from forming. Texture/Sensation: Classic gel or creamy gel. Gentle foam that rinses without tightness. Usually non-irritating at typical use frequencies. Best for: Oily/acne-prone skin or anyone who wants BHA pore clearing without strong surface exfoliation. Great as a regular daily cleanser or alternated with stronger acid blends. Minor downside: If your primary goal is visible surface renewal or evening texture/brightness, you might prefer a glycolic or dual-acid formula.

You can’t go wrong with a full size biocomplete and travel size repair cream. I tried another brand’s mild retinol serum and had redness and dry patches. No more experimenting with other brands. I’ve used biocomplete for years and it’s worth the price. The repair cream is nice but I can’t say I can tell any dramatic difference from less expensive products.
