I first got this as a sample. The white cast is very minimal. I put on the sunscreen and if I am going out I will add a CC cream for a hint of color. But I don't feel compelled to have to use it with this sunscreen. It goes on smoothly and soaks into my skin quickly. I don't really smell any oder either. It's a but pricey. But I will buy it again.

In addition to using on my neck (I use another tinted product on my face), I tried the product on my exposed shoulders and forearms where skin has become fragile, hoping the "heat-aging" properties would be beneficial. After exposure, shoulders were quite red and forearms were a bit red--although not as bad as shoulders.

This Dermalogica product goes on smoothly and has no perceptible odor. I use it after I apply a glycolic acid serum and before I use a tinted sunscreen. I find it helps the tinted sunscreen go on easily and smoothly, which is a big plus.

I have used and enjoyed numerous Dermalogica products, but this sunscreen disappoints. It stings my eyes badly, not just if it accidentally gets in the eye, but even when it’s on the skin near the eye. The burning sensation lasts for a long time. Additionally, it pills layered over any skincare protect. I’ve given up trying to use it.

The spf in this product works better than other sun protection products that I've tried. Unlike other dermalogica spf products it does not irritate my eyes. While this product doesn't seem to layer as well with liquid/ cream foundation, it's an excellent choice for me with powder spf. I've often had issue with powder spf looking cakey, emphasizing pores and with unnatural color when used to set spf lotion but with biolum C this is not an issue.
