Guinot Nouvelle Vie Cream

Okay at first

To start, I am a Guinot super fan. I am not giving up on the brand, just this specific moisturizer. I am about to turn 44, my other moisturizer, that I have used for 15+ years, discontinued so I am on the hunt for a new one (insert cry face). It has that very strong floral smell that people either love or hate (I hate) BUT.. after using it for a few weeks, I think the smell is actually to cover the scent of alcohol which has become more prominent to me. Anyways, I noticed that my skin was starting to get VERY thirsty after showering before I had a chance to get to my skin routine (which is done first thing after my shower) and deemed that it is drying out my skin (probably the alcohol). I also have now gotten 2 pimples this week which is rare for me, but letting me know my skin is overworking the oil release to keep it hydrated. It's a no for me.
