Terrific Sunscreen For Face

Having very sensitive skin that cannot tolerate chemical sunscreens makes the Isdin Mineral sunscreen a perfect product. Worth a Try

I am at a high risk for skin cancer because of family history, and my own history of pre-cancers, and one squamous cell carcinoma, which was successfully treated. I asked my dermatologist to recommend a sunscreen to use on my sensitive skin, especially just after treatments, and she recommended Isdin Eryfotona Actinica. I use it every day unless it's raining, and highly recommend it. It is light and goes on very smoothly. Because I have light skin, I choose to use the untinted. I do not feel it leaves a white cast. For everyday I don't feel a need to use makeup over it. When I want to cover up imperfections, I use a little liquid makeup over the sunscreen. The makeup goes on smoothly over the Isdin, and my face still doesn't have that feel or look of being heavily made up. The best thing about the product, though, is the darker spots on my face have been fading, and on subsequent appointments with the dermatologist I have not had new pre-cancers. I have skin damage on the cellular level from a childhood in a very sunny climate, and know that new pre-cancers are likely to appear again. But I do see a definite improvement since I've been using Isdin. I'm on my second bottle.

This sunscreen is very thin and silky and I keep repurchasing it. There is no white cast and I have a light complexion. The reason for 3 stars is that I don’t notice that it evens my skin tone or any long-term benefits. I just really enjoy the texture and that it doesn’t bother my rosacea. I would recommend it if you have extra money to spare and rosacea/sensitive skin. It does not prevent my skin from redness due to triggers.

I have to always have sunscreen on. This is not a good match for very dry skin as it can make your skin look patchy but a good moisturizer prior to applying fixes that. IT IS OKAY...

I have been trying to find a SPF 50 mineral sunscreen. I saw this advertised at the aesthetic center to go to for facial treatments and other treatments. I thought I would try it. Overall, it is okay. Positive- it doesn't leave a white cast (that is my biggest issue with mineral sunscreens). I am very fair, too, so that was a plus. It didn't leave too much of a shine as I prefer more of a matte finish so that was a plus. The only negative is the smell. It smells like your typical sunscreen you would buy at the drugstore to wear at the beach or out in the sun- the kind that is for all over the body, not just the face. That is where I deducted two stars for this review. Will I buy this again? I am not sure. I wear it most days than not; I have previously found another sunscreen that I LOVE and still wear; however, it is more expensive and the bottle is half the size of this one. If you don't mind a typical sunscreen smell, definitely try this one!
