Pretty

This is a pretty pallet. I purchased it in Solar Flare. It isn’t very pigmented though. I was hoping it would have more pigment so I could use the darker shades as eyeliner but all the shades are very sheer. They are very pretty though. I also like that there isn’t much fallout and doesnt irritate my sensitive allergy prone eyes. Definitely don’t regret purchasing this just wish it had a bit more pigment.

Beautiful subtle eyeshadow shades

The Basic shades are beautiful, highly blendable shades for my light skin, green eyes. They go on smoother than any powder I ever used - I and I have used them all! At 73, I have tried creams and shimmer and they just don’t work on crepey eyelids. These do. The yellow tone acts as a canvas and eliminates the veins and pink tones in my skin. Then browns are perfect above my crease. Don’t drop the case or they will crumble!!

Should a Senior Woman use Glitter?

I am a bit on the fence regarding this purchase but the product is less of an issue than my insistence on buying glittery shades for my complexion and age. Jane Iredale eye shadows are really soft. There are no iridescent colors in this palette, so I have had no problem blending shades to get the "look" that I want. The compact is very light weight, very small and efficient which makes it terrific for travel. As other reviewers have mentioned, supply your own brush and store it somewhere other than this eye shadow palette.

Colors are Great

I love the colors of this palette but the problem is with the consistency of the powder. It is too powdery and using a brush as they recommend just doesn't work well if you want to blend colors together particularly. This palette does not come with a sponge applicator as they used to and when I use a brush the powder goes everywhere rather than staying on the brush. I kept the sponge applicator from my previous palette so I am using that and it works much better. But, I do love the colors. Not worth the money in my opinion because you lose too much of the powder which is unfortunate because I do love Jane Iredale shadows typically.
