I bought this because it was on a list of best purple shampoos. Let me assure you, it is not. Aside from the terrible smell it was created with, it does NOTHING for my hair. Nada. Zilch. Do your self a favor and spend a bit more on the better brands.

I have used this product for a number of years. My hair is a gray in the front around temples but the hair in the back is still a dark cool brown with light gray hairs this shampoo brings lots of luster to the gray in the back as well as the gray hair at the temples.

Love this purple shampoo

I've used multiple purple shampoos so far and would say this one is the best. I agree that it makes hair dirty-blondish with slight brown hues but it goes away after 1-2 washes. It does not dry hair out and gives beautiful cool undertones. I use it once a month and only keep it on my hair for 2-3 minutes.

This shampoo took the gold out of my root area and gave me a soft, lovely blonde shade. I left the shampoo on for around 5 - 7 minutes in the shower, rinsed and, wow, it was great when I dried it.
