I’ve tried retinol in the past with no luck, my skin would get so irritated, dry and start breaking out. I decided to give the OBAGI Clinical Retinol 0.5 Retexturizing Cream a try and I’m now on my second tube. It’s super gentle, I can use it every night without an issue and my skin shows no sign of irritation…I’ve actually had less breakouts. I’m really pleased with the results so far and plan on trying the higher strength next time. Bonus no fragrance, which I appreciate!

Great for sensitive skin

I have super sensitive skin at the age of 76 and fair complexion with Roscea. I have not been able to use retinol products. I have a forehead that needed some tender care without going to laser or peels. This is perfect. I have been using for months and have noticed a subtle difference in resurfacing with notable redness or irritation.

I received the product the shipping box. See it fine. The box that the cream came in seemed fine. When I went to use the product the top part of the tube came off, and half of the cream spilled all over the bottom of my sink. That being said I was able to put the top back on and I have been using it. I like it so far because it does not seem to affect my skin. I have very sensitive skin with rosacea. So far it’s not causing any reaction which is very good! Hopefully next time I will get one that doesn’t have an issue with the tube.

Obagi is one of my favorite brands!!

I've always trusted Obagi ever since I know this brand in my early 20s (I already started using this brand when I had my chickenpox and the cream I was using for scars left behind was really good). 20 years later, I am still using this brand. Of course, never used Retinol until about 8 years ago because I need it due to aging issues. I mean everyone gets old but what we must do is to slow down the process and grow old gracefully. I like the one the tube dispenses the retinol which you can control. Guess I have been using Retinol for years and therefore never experienced any irritation, dryness or peeling. Lovely, Layering Cream

I bought this OBAGI cream a year ago (June) and tried it but ended up using it mostly in the late fall and winter. The strength of this formulation is being gentle (due to the chamomile extract among other things), playing nice with other face oils & serums, and containing a mild dose of retinol for people with sensitive skin, or who are looking for a starter/maintenance formulation. I applied at night and noticed modest textural improvements in fine forehead lines with consistent use, and felt the pump dispensed the right amount of product per application. Always take time to rub night creams in with facial massage, it feels good and makes a difference! Still have the tube and box and was surprised to recently get a final couple of full pumps out. Probably worth it to open the end of the tube for one final application before disposal; don't forget applying to the backs of your hands, if you ever end up with excess cream on them. Yesterday, purchased a different brand 1% retinol from LovelySkin to try next.

I like it. My face cannot tolerate prescription strong retinol, so I decided to use something less strong. This one seems to work. It doesn’t make face super dry, if you are sensitive to retinol I would use every other day to let your skin to get used to.
