I use this product the day before I dye my hair. It does a good job of removing any build up from products like conditioner, hairspray, mousse, etc. and hard water. Although the label says it is "safe for color treated hair" I am concerned it might fade or lighten the color. There is no accompanying conditioner - use your favorite.

While rinsing it out you can feel how incredibly soft your hair is going to be before it’s even dry! I’ve used it several times and it has not dried out my hair whatsoever. I normally use the hydrating pureology so my hair is in good condition but I still have noticeable results with this shampoo!
