Was my favorite/Now reformulated?

I first purchased this last year when I had a bad bout of winter eczema on my hands from cold weather and frequent hand washing. It was *everything* I could want in a hand lotion: a rich, creamy texture, which absorbed quickly, and left my hands feeling soothed and well-moisturized. Within a week my eczema cleared up, and as long as I continued to use this nightly, it stayed away. Since then, it appears that Avene has reformulated the Eczema Relief Balm with more Dimethicone. I no longer have the original product, so I can't be completely sure, but I immediately noticed that the newer product has more "slip" to it, and leaves my hands feeling as if they have invisible silicone coating on them. It's not bad and still seems to be effective, but it doesn't have the same luxurious feel it once did. That said, it's still a great product, and I continue to recommend it to friends who are suffering with chapped hands and eczema.

Soothing

Not sure why but I was suddenly itching and skin burning for weeks. This lotion helped soothe my skin so I can sleep at night but did not eliminate the itching. Nice non greasy and absorbed into skin nicely.
