Matte-ish and great protection
If "medium" in their FaceShield Flex formula is a good match for you, this one will be too. I am in-between "fair" and "medium" and found this to be slightly too dark and warm. While it is more matte than the Original formula, it is closer to a natural finish than true matte. It applies and spreads so much more beautifully and offers great sun protection. It doesn't run when I am sweating and lasts all day during long hikes. The small bottle is also super portable and is great for traveling. I don't know if I will buy this again because the color is too dark for me, but it will be my go-to for outdoor activities until it runs out.

My new favorite
This is beautiful! It’s matte but not drying. Not super matte. Just enough that it’s still moisturizing and not shiny. Seriously my new favorite. I often use this as reapplication as it gives nice coverage and colors for blemishes.

Too dark, but nice finish
The finish on this sunscreen is indeed matte, but not chalky or flat. However, the tint was way too dark for my skin tone, and it seemed to have more coverage than the average tinted sunscreen. As a man, I felt like I was wearing makeup. I gave it to someone to use...

Matte
I mostly like the matte texture. It absolutely does not leave a greasy SPF-like finish. It may be a little too matte? While it doesn't necessarily bother me, it doesn't go on very smoothly. I feel like I need more product to cover my face than the usual pea-sized amount. It doesn't pill or anything like that though. All in all I will buy again.

Texture and application is good but color a bit on the yellow side but not so much that I won’t wear it. It’s really OK when I mix it with the original or wear the sunscreen brush on powder.

Wanted to love
I really wanted to love this product but it didn’t provide enough coverage as I would have liked and it still was a tad bit greasy. I can’t seem to find a Colorscience liquid face sunscreen that I like. They’re all either orange and/or greasy.
