It is always refreshing and pleasant but doesn't overtake a perfume, if used. As far as the sun protection, I have felt protected on daily walks and errands. I have not experience any burns. The formula does not sting. I have also worn for light workouts outside and perspiring. I intend to keep this product as a staple. I look forward to spraying this on arms and legs everyday for protection from sun.
