Difficult to remove

Overall, I liked it. However, it was soooooo difficult to remove—and I was using eye makeup remover. I mean, it too for-ev-er. I do not have that amount of patience. Yes, it flaked all over the place, but also, I had to rub my eyes a lot to get it all off. This is my first tubing mascara, so I don’t know if that’s normal or not. That said, I really like the small brush and how it makes it easier to get to some harder to reach places—inner eyes and lower lashes. So now I will use another mascara and then use this one for those areas. That seems to work well. I did just order a tightline from another brand to see if I like that better, so I guess I’m not too thrilled with this product in the end.

Nice!

This is my first tubing mascara experience and I do like how it dramatizes the eyes. What I love is the applicator, the brush is small and allows for even and precise distribution. The only is removal requires more effort than a regular mascara. All in all, it's a win and I will repurchase.

Go to mascara

This the best mascara I have ever used. No smearing, smudging. Only one I use.

Excellent natural looking tubing mascara

There are lots of tubing mascaras these days which is a good thing. However, many fail the mark in my opinion. Many current popular ones like Thrive or Tarte impart a over-the-top, crunchy spider-leg look. If that's what you're looking for, then great. But if you want nicely defined lashes that remain soft, then look no further than DHC. I first was interested when I read that actress Emma Watson only wears this mascara. Plus, celebrated makeup artist Lisa Etheridge also keeps this at hand in her everyday "kit." She has extolled its virtues for years. I have white blonde lashes and the smaller brush helps me catch every lash and define it. I'd suggest applying it on top prior to finishing applying mascara in the traditional way. The point of the brush helps get at the corners of the eye as well. It's buildable WITHOUT clumping or getting crunchy. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that while it removes relatively easily like most tubing mascaras, it comes off in crumbles and not tubes. I use very warm water, numerous splashes, then a plush clean white washcloth to press and remove prior to cleansing my face. The crumbles rinse off the washcloth, thank goodness! The pricing is excellent compared to other high end mascaras especially when lovelyskin is having a sale! Overall, 5 stars from me.
