I’ve used this cream daily, for two months, in the morning. I’m 43 with dehydrated skin under extremely humid & hot weather. As technology and its effects multiply I'm focused on finding how to counteract said effects. After being diagnosed with cancer I achieved complete remission on March. Now I'm triple cautious of everything I purchase. I’m more critical of the product’s performance and also of the use of plastic. This cream is the first facial moisturizer/hydrator I've found which claims protection against blue light without being a sunscreen. I was hesitant to buy it due to its price. However, I knew that as much as I strive to limit blue light I’m going to continue to be exposed to it everywhere I go. I bought it and it’s been a great decision. The first thing I noticed is that the package is not made of one of the common plastic types. Having finished chemotherapy only 2 months earlier I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t have any adverse reaction to the cream. I enjoy its smell and texture. It's creamy but dissolves immediately into my skin. It takes less than 2 minutes (I’ve used a timer) to get completely absorbed without leaving my face shiny. The appearance of the skin after applying it is like a “healthy glow”. I’m unaware of how it interacts with makeup. Since my face is dehydrated I’ve always applied more than the instructions suggest. Therefore, is not fair to comment on how long does the jar lasts. But even while using a higher amount of cream it definitely covers more than two months of daily use. That’s a plus due to its costs. As I’m slowly reintroducing beauty products after chemotherapy my facial routine has been only to wash it and apply this Morning Matrix elixir. If I go outside I apply sunscreen. I’m happy to report zero problems between the Skinceuticals sunscreen and this Elemis cream. I’ve never had any skin condition (cancer was Non-Hodgkin’s). Nevertheless this product made post chemo+extreme humidity redness go away immediately; since the first time I used it. I will forever be greatful for the visible effects on my skin. The second day using the product it was uncomfortably humid & hot and four hours after application I had to clean some stuff on the patio; at around 12pm . A neighbor asked “How does your face looks so refreshed under at 100F?. Your face is the same color as your body; not a hint of redness”. It was true!
