Love it more than the 46!
I really like this sunscreen so far. I goes on much lighter and clearer than the Elta 46 one I've been buying for years from LovelySkin. It dries down faster and keeps my skin more matte than the 46. I am 61 and still have breakthrough oily skin as the day goes on, and this seems to keep it more in control. I mainly purchased it for oil control and higher SPF. I do not like a dewy look so I really am liking the finish on this sunscreen. It is more pleasant to use and more cosmetically elegant than the 46 in my opinion. So far so good. I'll be able to tell more as the summer heats up.

I have just switched to Elta MD clear b/c my dermatologist suggested it for me. I have been using it for 3 weeks and my skin is smoother. I like the light feel of it on my skin and am trusting it blocks UV well!

EltaMD UV Clear Blemish-Prone & Oil Balancing SPF 50 - so light and smooth. This sun lotion goes a long way. Not sure it is helping with blemishes though. Been have problems with blemishes the last several weeks. I will continue using and see how my skin behaves.

Great SPF
I have oily, acne-prone skin and have tried countless SPFs over the years. This one genuinely surprised me. The texture is lightweight and non-sticky — actually less tacky than my usual Korean SPF. It goes on smoothly with no noticeable white cast and doesn’t leave that heavy feeling I get from other zinc-based formulas. What really impressed me was how quickly it calmed existing irritation on my skin. Within a couple of hours of application I noticed visible reduction in redness and breakouts — something I didn’t expect from a sunscreen. The niacinamide and zinc combination seems to genuinely deliver on the anti-acne claims rather than just being marketing. It also performs well in expression lines and creases — noticeably less white buildup than other SPFs I’ve tried. For oily and acne-prone skin this is genuinely one of the best SPFs I’ve used.
