My hubby said this has too much tint for him but I found it perfect. Goes on very smoothly...leaves a slight golden tint. Perfect spf for everyday. I don't use foundation or other day creams now. This is all that needed

Burning Feeling and Bad Skin Reaction
I think this product is not for my skin type, since there are so many positive reviews. After cleansing my skin and doing my skin care routine, I applied the Elta MD Clear sunscreen and it immediately started to feel tingly and burn. It soothed after 5 min maybe but the rest of the day I felt a little itchy here and there. Later that night I washed my face and did my nighttime skin routine. The next day I did the same skin routine and applied the Elta MD clear sunscreen again and it immediately started burning again but more! I washed my face because I couldn’t tolerate the feeling. I think my skin is too sensitive for this formula so I had to return. I give it a try after seeing positive reviews for sensitive skin. After returning this sunscreen, I tried another elta md sunscreen and it did not disappoint at all :)

Used for years
I love the way this makes my skin look. Recently tried an alternative. Never as happy with other. This I can only use for under makeup days, he de the minus one star. Plus it says for sensitive skin. I have rosacea as well. Here is the thing about this item.. it can at times cause burn sensation when applied cause problems for a several days due to the initial burn. Or if exercise with it on it causes burning sensation. Not sure but I feel it has something to do w/the niacinamide I have realized just don’t wear if I’m going to sweat and apply when I’m not warm in face, ie after shower and definitely not right after exercise. It leave dewy glow and I don’t get any breakouts. It also doesn’t ever come off onto my clothing and collars. Even when wearing black. Sometimes I don’t think it works as well as pure mineral ones. But those wreck my clothes. I use the clear and hope to try the tinted with as much success.

I've been using Elta MD UV Clear Sunscreen for over 10 years. I used to use many over the counter sunscreens, but when I found Elta MD I never looked back. It not only helped with keeping he sun rays away from my face, it helps with keeping the acne away as well. I am 57 years old and finally can say acne is not my problem any longer.
