Nice Formulation
I typically use the Elta MD UV Clear Tinted Formula which is a matte texture. I tried this on the recommendation of my aesthetician. It is a nice formulation which goes on smoothly and leaves the skin moisturized. It doesn’t leave my face greasy. The tint blends well with my skin tone.

Okay but could be better
I will not repurchase this specific EltaMD SPF maybe in the non-tint. But it does oxidize. If you want a tan look then this could be for you.

I have tried a LOT of sunscreens. Elta MD's UV Daily 40 is my absolute favorite. I buy both the sheer and tinted and mix them together for a perfect color. I think the hyaluronic acid in it actually makes my skin look better, too.

I have been looking for SPF protection that would not leave a white cast and would not irritate my skin. This SPF does just that! I'm really impressed and will definitely be purchasing again. It is moisturizing but does not leave your skin too "greasy". I wear it under makeup or sometimes alone after applying my skin care. I have the tinted version.

My Favorite EltaMD SPF (Tinted)
This is my favorite EltaMD SPF over UV Clear because this doesn't have lactic acid in it and it's more moisturizing. I like to use a Vitamin C serum before my SPF, and if the SPF has lactic acid in it, it's just too much going on for my skin. I'm happy with the tint, it's bordering on orangy, but it's still ok.
