I first bought this at my dermatologist’s office because I wanted a lip balm with spf. My dermatologist recommended it. I’ve tried many different lip balms but this is my favorite. It doesn’t have any offensive flavors and it works.

Elta UV Lip Balm
I have used Elta products for years. They are quality products. I didn't know they made an SPF Lip Balm until recently. I like the package of two as one goes in my beach bag and the other one in my purse. Once applied it easily accomadates lipstick over it. The only negative is that is comes out a bit unmixed (watery and a bit gritty). Once rubbed it it's fine and feels smooth and blended

It is hard to find a lip product with UV protection. I love this one because it is creamy, not like chap stick. It makes my lips feel very moisturized and it has UV protection. It doesn't have a flavor which is also a plus for me.

Excellent protection from the Sun
Sun is my trigger for fever blisters so I take valtrex daily. I also have to wear something on my lips to shield the (for a second layer of protection) sun and this protect is great for that. It is soothing and has a good amount of SPF. I have tried stick products that contain SPF but none of them provide good protection like this product.
