Love this product. The black cleansing oil quickly lathers up to a white smooth lather. To me the smell is like unperfumed soap. To me this smell is like soap prior to when soap was infused with highly perfumed overpowering scents. Soft not harsh. My skin feels soft after use.

I purchased this to add to my cleansing routine. Sometimes, even at my age (70) I will get breakouts on my chin and thought this would be just the thing to use when I do. I combine it with the Detoxifying bar and now use once or twice a week. I don't think you can beat his products for a double cleanse.

I can't say enough about Erno Laszlo's Detoxifying Cleansing Oil. I use it in conjunction with their Sea Mud Cleansing Bar. They highly recommend using both products and I do too. The combination has changed my skin. I thought i was getting my skin clean using a popular cleansing oil but when you use these two products, what Laszlo calls the "Double Cleanse", you really see how clean you SHOULD be. I was constantly breaking out with small annoying blemishes and i'm not anymore. This oil cleanser really breaks down any oil, dirt and makeup you have from the day and preps your face for the soap, which thoroughly cleanses you in the end. My skin is bright, clean but not tight either. I'm balanced and hydrated. This particular oil and bar also helps speed up the fading of any blemish marks you have as well. I do recommend using them together, as that's been my experience but I'm now a convert and won't use anything else. Thank you Erno Laszlo and LovelySkin for carrying it!
