I have been using this 20% glycolic cream for many years. Very important, you do definitely have to build up to this strength gradually, starting with the lowest strength and working your way up as your skin tolerates it. You also have to be sure to wear sunscreen. I use this cream about 2x per week alternating days with Retin A RX from my dermatologist. I have read and researched and found that this formulation by Glycolix is the best in terms of the ingredients and free acid strength. This is my "go to" glycolic acid cream. I don't care for the glycolic toners or pads any longer. This spreads so easily that you hardly use any of it. I'm always careful to keep it away from the corner of my eyes and around my lips. I put balm on my lips and before I adjusted to it, put petroleum jelly around the sides of my nose, sensitive areas. In addition, I find that if I use it over a moisturizer or put a moisturizer over it, the sting lasts longer. When I use it on a dry face, the very slight sting only lasts a couple minutes, but it's a good feeling that it is working. I personally would not use this in the morning due to the fact that I wear sunscreen every day and wouldn't want to move the Glycolix around when I put my sunscreen on. From what I have read, glycolic acid is on par with Retin A in terms of repairing and making your skin look great.
