Great Cleanser for Sensitive, Aging Skin
I have not used an exfoliating cleanser before but when my favorite cleansing gel was discontinued, I searched for a replacement. Based on the high rating and very helpful, informative reviews (thank you LovelySkin.com clients and staff!) I decided to give Glyderm's cleanser a try. I'm so glad I did. It is gentle yet effective. In the evening, I use it with my Clarisonic and it effectively removes all makeup as well as my physical sunscreen. I don't wear mascara very often but use waterproof when I do, so I remove that first with a separate cleansing agent. I do not expect a cleanser to be an effective exfoliant and that is not the reason I use this particular cleanser so I can't speak to its exfoliating benefits. I use a separate glycolic acid product for that purpose. Glyderm's cleanser also has a mild, nonlingering lemon scent. Because of allergies, I avoid any facial product that includes fragrances. The lemon scent in Glyderm's cleanser is related to a lemon extract and I have not had an aversive reaction. I also have NOT experienced any irritation around or in my eyes despite the inclusion of 0.2% glycolic acid. Overall, this cleanser truly is a pleasure to use. For reference: I am 66 and have sensitive, combination skin. I intend to use this cleanser for as long as it is available.

Why Haven't I Used This Product Consistently Over the Years!
My dermatologist has consistently recommended this product for the last 20+ years. I would use it for awhile and then try something less expensive. Now, I regret not using it the whole time. I am pretty shocked that my dermatologist has only recommended this product for so long. I think I would have less wrinkles on my face if I had used Glyderm Gentle Cleanser every day for the past 20 years.

I have oily skin with occasional dryness around my upper lip. More oily, and I do mean oily, and prone to breakouts, to be fair. I have tried so many cleansers. Some that would clean my pores would dry me out. Anything with moisture makes me break out and increases the oil. I read a review that stated how someone with skin issues similar to mine tried this on a dermatologist's recommendation, and how great it was, so I thought I would try it. I'm on my third bottle and I still love it. No more dryness, much less oil, but soft and clean skin. And I mean clean. My pores are no longer large and clogged. Everything cleared up overnight. I follow up with the 5% lotion for maximum effectiveness. Love it!

Gentle Facewash
This face wash is gentle but powerful. It does not dry out my skin and I already see a difference in my skin after a week of use. It gets rid of my blackheads and my skin tone is more even.
