Takes practice
After two weeks of experience and practice, I'm getting the "hang" of this product. It will be great to include on travel - no brushes to store, clean etc. Just twist out the product. Have even used it as an eyeliner without smudging (use the JI Primer first)! The color saturation depends on how heavy a hand used during application. It stays put for 10 hours (maybe more) and blends pretty well. (Bought two colors). Will keep buying.

Jane Iredale ColorLuxe Shadow Stick
The formulation of this shadow stick is really nice. I love the quick, no mess application of it. The shadow stays in place and is not sticky or too drying. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is that the alabaster color I chose is a little darker than I expected. It appeared lighter on the model, pictured. I will use it a little differently than I had originally planned.

Poor quality and poor case design
The pigment separated just a couple of months after purchase, and it covered my entire face and hands with tons of white (not shimmery) flakes. The shimmer remained on the stick but could not be applied to lids. In addition, pretty quickly the stick came out of the case and since then it keeps on getting pushed inside - just does not hold. Waste of money.

The Gamechanger for Easy Eyebrows: Dove Grey
This Jane Iredale Eye Shadow Stick is so easy to apply! I use it for brows; the stick makes it a breeze to fill in eyebrows for us mature ladies. I'm 67, a cool winter with salt-and pepper hair and sparse (in places nonexistent) eyebrows; the Dove Grey is a good match and looks believable. I use a light hand, and the stick looks best when I fade the borders. Stays on all day for me. (Word to the wise: use a Q-Tip to clean up the edges, because if you use your fingers, it's hard to get it off.) My new Go-To for eyebrows - one product, one step, woo-hoo!

Based on years of using jane iredale product and appreciating the quality I gave this stick shadow a try. I like how it goes on and it lasts for hours. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because the shadow broke away from the base. I thought it was because I pressed too hard so ordered another one. However it did it again. I really like to product but am wondering if the design needs to be worked on.

Works Good as an Eye Liner
Because I have a lot of eye issues, I typically wear very little eye makeup. This product is very light and good for people with sensitive eyes. I ordered Alabaster and Dove Grey… the Alabaster as a “lid” color and Dove Grey as a liner. As a lid color, I had to use my finger to spread it around, but the Dove Grey went on very nice as an eyeliner. As an eyeliner, it did give some “highlights” to my eyes and lasted much of the day.

uneven coverage
I'm not in love with the formula. Maybe on a thinner/drier lid, it would work better. I have naturally dewy skin and the formula just doesn't stay on my lid. The color is beautiful though—the highlight is just right.
