Love Jane Iredale products! The Midnight Blue was lovely and more interesting than basic black. This liner applied smoothly, but did not last long. It looks great if it doesn't smudge under your eyes, but unfortunately, it did smudge on me. It may be a tradeoff to get the clean ingredients.

Easy to apply
I think Jane Iredale has reformulated their eye pencils, as they are softer and creamier than they used to be. In the past, they would crumble when you tried to use them and I have not had that problem with the last two pencils I purchased. I love them for tightlining and they don't irritate my eyes or shed particles into them.

This is a fairly soft pencil that will make a nice line or smudge softly. It is disappointing that it is extremely difficult to sharpen once the original point disappears. A lot of liner breaks off & the pencil splinters.

Jane Iredale Eye Pencil
I ordered the black/brown pencil. The color is rich and very pretty, and the pencil is creamy and goes on smoothly. However, it does not stay put and is not long lasting. I use it on my upper lashes and sometimes in the waterline. By the end of the day I find that the color has migrated to below my lower lashes, and there is not much remaining on my upper lashes. I find that Jane Iredale products are usually high quality, but, for this price, I would not buy this product again.

I give this eyeliner 4 out of 5 stars because of the great color and how easily it is applied. I am able to “draw” the shape I want without it looking “caked-on.” One minus is that I must reapply in certain areas after awhile as it does seem to “wear off.”
