I bought this based upon a review from Dr. Dray- who seems skeptical of so many products but claims she was surprised after using that as an eye cream. I used under eye and back of hands- didn't find it very hyrdrating, especially considering the amount of glycerin in the product. It didn't irritate or do anything bad - just didn't wow me at all.

I like the cicaplast balm better
I have been using the Cicaplast balm for about 8 yrs., but a dermatologist on youtube was using this one around her eyes and really liked the results. It is nice and light for those who may not have skin as dry as mine, but I didn't feel it was hydrating enough. I do live in a very dry climate, so I made sure to layer it over more hydrating creams, as glycerin can draw moisture from the skin if not enough in the air. I also used this as spot treatment on forehead lines and around mouth but am just not sold on it...I need the thicker cream of the balm, but would recommend this for those with oily skin, or who live in humid climate and cannot wear thick occlusives.

I had heard about this gel on Dr Dray and decided to give it a try. This skin around my mouth has been peeling due to retinoid use and wasn't responding to the usual moisturizers. After two days of using Cicaplast Gel skin protectant, the peeling went away entirely. I only use a small amount, but that's all it took. Disappointing
I am a fan of La Roche-Posay but find the Cicaplast Gel B5 a big disappointment. It just sits on top of the skin and never absorbs. I am sticking with the original Cicaplast Balm B5 which is an all time winner in my book.
