La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Hand Barrier Repairing Cream

This product is as described. But a little too heavy for my needs. I am looking forward to winter to see how it stands up.

better out there

I bought this for my son who has to wash hands constantly for work- there are better hydrating/barrier hand creams - maybe if they added some parrafin? it did not have any negatives but for a pricey hand barrier repair cream - it needs to better.

Sensitive-skin friendly, but heavy & greasy

Pros: -Extremely moisturizing (albeit temporarily).. -No scent at all. -Does not irritate my sensitive skin, even when my hands are dry and cracked. Cons: -Greasy. I have extremely dry skin and use ointments every day, but this leaves a grease more than most ointments I’ve used. -So heavy that it’s a bit suffocating. When I put this on my hands in the summer, I felt like my hands were overheating. -The moisture doesn’t seem to last very long. -Because the moisture doesn’t seem to last that long, I go through a package of this very quickly.

Nice hand cream

This is a good hand cream -- but not as great as I was expecting from this particular line. I am a huge fan of La Roche Posay but didn't find the hand cream as exceptional as the Cicaplast face cream, which is definitely 5-star for many reasons. For this price, this tube is small. Great for the purse, but it goes quickly and isn't quite worth the splurge for a second tube.

Effective but too oily for me

I ordered 3 hand creams and this is my least favorite because it’s the oiliness.

Like Aquaphor

I am not a fan of this hand cream. It's silicone-y. Looks and feels like Aquaphor, but a harder version of Aquaphor. Wish I had read the ingredient list beforehand. I wrongly assumed that it would be like a cold cream. It's fine if you use this over another hand cream as a final occlusive layer. But if your skin is cracked, flaky, or rough, you'll be wanting something creamy or lotion-y to fill in the gaps. I'm going back to my old staple (a shea butter hand cream from a well-known French company who I am not allowed to name).

Doesn't Absorb

I decided to try this hand cream and perhaps if I had super dry hands I would like it better. I find it does to absorb well. I won't purchase again.
