A real game-changer
I use many of the products in the Effaclar line and this is one of my favorites. I have mature oily skin and have suffered from acne breakouts for decades. I've tried other salicylic acid products but none have given me the results of this serum. I use it every morning after cleansing and toning and my face has never been clearer. So happy with this product!

Good acne treatment for older skin
I am in my sixties and still have some acne at times. This is great for everyday use to prevent a breakout without completely drying out my skin. I like the La Roche Posay products very much. Great for sensitive skin.

I have acne-prone skin and usually get hormonal acne. My T-zone is covered in very tiny blackheads and this product has helped "close" up pores in the way that they seem tighter and cleaner. The usual blackheads are a little difficult to get out and this product cleans from the inside out. I have been using it for the past 2 months now and my face is getting clearer, slowly but surely!

Saved a return trip to the dermatologist
I've had bad hormonal acne for ages, and had to take a course of accutane - which worked pretty well, for about a decade. Then things got worse again, which is frustrating. I got a sample of this, and of a different acne treatment - both worked pretty well. LRP is less drying; the othermakes my skin more tight and lightly itchy. Mostly I use LRP, just a few drops on my fingertips spread over the lower half of my face once or twice daily, followed by moisturizer/ spf. I'll buy the other one too as its packaging is more travel-friendly, but this LRP will likely be my go-to for the foreseeable future. It's worked really well for a few months now.
