Others have mentioned the bottle dropper being ineffective. I agree. I just pour a few drops on the back of my hand and apply with my index finger. I first received this product as a sample and liked it so I purchased the full size bottle. It does have a scent, but the smell does eventually dissipate. The only downside is that the opening of the bottle is too small and I find that once the dropper is coated with the serum that it can slightly overflow the top when reinserting and, thus wasting product.

I initially tried Laroche Posey’s niacinamide 10 serum as a sample and loved it. It’s the first time that I’ve use a niacinamide 10 serum although my son Block does have niacinamide 5% built in and I love it. I’m still learning about different products and Blessedly my face does not need much of anything- I’m very grateful for that. I am all about simple and effective. However, I think I was more excited about the sample because I was using it underneath my tinted sunblock and tinted sunblock or tinted moisturizer, blurs your skin, so it hides any slight imperfections or superficial wrinkles. Now that I have returned to using my regular non tinted sunblock, I noticed that I’m not as in love with the niacinamide 10 serum. Sometimes it will pill underneath my sunblock if I use too much so it’s still a learning curve. Witb all that said it’s a great starter product where you can learn about what you need and where to go next all while feeling safe with this product on your face. I still think it’s overall a great product and I would recommend it depending on the persons skin and needs. I just may need a different niacinamide or a higher concentration, for my light discoloration from the sun and superficial scarring.

Love this serum. It feels great. I have only been using it for two weeks so I have a little while to wait for visible improvement of hyperpigmentation. However, the packing is really messy to use. As others have commented, the dropper does not function well. I feel like I am wasting some every morning when I apply it to my face, neck and chest. I wish it was packaged as the sample in a tube which I first used. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make this wonderful product easier to use and less wasteful! NEW CONTAINER PLEASE!

The bad/iffy - I was surprised this had a scent, and it took a night or two to adjust to it. It is pleasant though and I think I like it despite my initial surprise. The dropper is pretty useless. I use it to wipe some product on my hand to apply. I'm not sure how it will play out when I'm almost out as the serum is not particularly liquid-y. The good - I apply at night after tretinoin, and it feels wonderful. I was able to cancel my after-summer melasma check-up with the dermatologist. To be fair, I'm on the ball applying Vitamin C, SPF and tretinoin cream.
