Nice and gentle Retinol serum
I started using this serum about 2 years ago. The use of retinol was strongly recommended by the plastic surgeon I was seeing as an essential skincare routine, and I don’t remember how I came to select this particular one, but, I was happy with it for never causing any issues. I also felt it was helping my hyperpigmentations, etc. However, when I saw my sister recently, and she said my complexion looked darker than a year ago, I realized that it was not my imagination, but I did get much darker than before. And I guessed maybe I was overusing retinol while underusing sunscreens because it is supposed to be one of the side effects of retinol. So, as of now, I stopped using this serum, and am waiting to see if my complexion will lighten up.

I stocked up on products during the sale and this manufacturer delivers a reliable product at a great price. I don’t know what magic they put in this thick, gooey serum but it hydrates and plumps leaving my skin dewy. I apply it every other night and although I don’t think I see any wrinkle reduction, it does feel nice and delivers hydration and gentle exfoliation.

Finally a Retinol that I can use!
This is the first Retinol product that I've ever been able to use, I've had such problems with all others that I've tried. I do use the LA ROCHE-POSAY triple repair moisturizing cream after the retinol. Right now I'm using it every third day but I see me using it more frequently soon. My skin looks so much smoother & brighter, no redness or peeling. My skin is so sensitive, I am very grateful to have learned about this company... I will be sticking with them.

I love LaRoche-Posay products and this one is great. Goes on smooth without a tacky feeling. I don't get the usual irritation. The only drawback is the lack of transparency of the Retinol percentage with this product. I understand the proprietary blend the company claims, however, I am in my 50's and trying to maximize my Retinol percent to protect to the greatest degree, therefore without knowing how much is in this product will mean I will not be purchasing it in the future. Still, I feel it is effective and leaves my face and neck feeling smooth and radiant without the tacky feeling or overly fragrant scent of most products.

Good amount of retinol without the skin irritation
I have, in the past, had some issues with skin irritation by retinol products. This has been an exception. I only use it a couple of times a week in the evenings in lieu of my usual nightly serum and I think that is enough to afford my skin the benefits of retinol application without the irritation.
