Deliciously creamy but ....
This is a marvelous, creamy and rich lipstick. I purchased 2 - Park Ave and Le Marais. They're both luminous and light shades, gentle and natural pinks without the brownish cast that spoils so many nudes for me today. But I have to mention the surprisingly terrible scent this lipstick has. At first I thought the smell was from my dog when I first applied it. I washed my hands and reapplied. But no, it's the lipstick itself. Why would Laura Mercier bother to scent a lipstick, let alone with something that smells like flea repellent? I have to admit I like the other qualities of this product so much I imagine I'll wear these two shades all summer. But seriously, Laura, why? As I write this review that dreadful smell is wafting upward to my olfactory nerves, but looking in the mirror at this lovely lipstick, I have to force myself to ignore it.
