I have used the Obagi Clear since 2008. I love it. It keeps my skin clear of discoloration as I am very fair. I use sunscreen but with age those brown mottled areas developed. But this marvelous cream keeps them at bay. I always want to have this product as part of my skincare. It doesn’t take much and I use it in the morning and at night. Give it a try. Be patient. You will be pleased.

A great and gentle product to help lighten dark spots. I use this with the Obagi C 20% cream. It does the job without drying my skin. It will take a couple of weeks to see an improvement. I use argan oil at night to keep my face hydrated. Obagi products are of such good quality.

Removes hyperpigmentation
I have been an Obagi user for 20 years and Obagi Clear has been a staple to remove sun spots and hyperpigmentation. Since I am on a maintenance program, I use Clear 3x/week and top it off with sunblock in the daytime. At night, I top it off with Blender mixed with tretinoin. I just turned 60y/o but everyone compliments me on my clear and dewy skin.

I left the Obagi product line about a year ago with advice from a esthetician and started using her suggested product line. Although I find the esthetician very sweet I have resumed using Obagi. I took my own before and after pictures and am very happy to be using Obagi again! My freckles and other discolorations are diminishing and my fine lines are less visible. My only wish is for these products to be less expensive.

Obagi Nu-Derm Clear FX (Hydroquininone-free formula)
This is a fantastic product that anyone who has issues with hyperpigmentation, dark spots, discoloration and liver spots whichever way you call it. It really works, but, provided that you do not expect this to happen overnight because this is a hydroquinone-free formula and therefore it can take up to 2 to 3 months to see positive results depending on the severity of how one takes care of their skin. Speaking of which, SPF50 is MANDATORY at least 15 mins before going outdoors. Even when you are only where there is a lot of sunlight, you still must apply SPF50 sunscreen (you can choose tinted or untinted but always for for mineral/physical rather than chemical one). I started off with Obagi 4% hydroquinone Nu-Derm (a complete set that cost me over $300) for about about 4 months and by 1st month I already saw tremendous improvement in my skin tone and texture (NO KIDDING). Of course, it did make me skin red but not itchy. It also made my skin peel but try not to remove the "scale", just let it fall off by itself. After finished the set, I switched on to hydroquinone-free formula for maintenance. I have been using Obagi C cleanser, Nu-Derm Clear (#3) and Blender (#5) for years as my daily maintenance. If you wish and can afford it, get #4 as an exfoliator as well. I always receive compliments on my skin even though I occasionally smoke and drink in addition to deprivation of sleep periodically. Takeaways: drink LOTS of water, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, vitamins C, E & Biotin, etc., try to avoid sunlight between 10am and 3pm, use good SPF50 sunscreen, cleanse your face thorough in a circular motion with a bit of pressure to improve circulation. IF POSSIBLE, try to regularize your sleep, cut back on sugary beverages, cigarettes and alcohol. Exercise regularly (brisk walking is good too). I know it is easier said than done but if you want to maintain a good shape and have a great skin you just got to make sacrifices. Hope this helps. Cheers!
