Not "Just A Toner"
I use this with the Obagi System. It and the Obagi C serum are the two products that I always make sure to use. This toner prepares your skin for better absorption of any other skin care products that you use. I apply it with my hands, much the way men put on after shave. (Keep in mind that I use a cloth when I wash, so I get the exfoliation from that.) I used to use it on a cotton pad, but found that it worked better just from my hands. I also gave it to my teenage son and his friends who are acne prone. It worked wonders (even though they sometimes use it without washing their face - yuch!) Now, they're hooked. It is an amazing product.

Alcohol free toner
In the past, I always threw away the toners that came as a "free gift with purchase" because they contained too much alcohol that dried and made my skin sting. Obagi Nu-Derm Toner #2 contains no alcohol. It's cooling and refreshing, not painful. My other Obagi products glide on after using it.
