A Little Drying But Still Excellent

I had stopped using this cleanser several years ago because I felt like it was just a bit too drying but thanks to peri-menopause, my skin starting going haywire and I felt like I needed something with a little bit of salicylic acid to help with acne breakouts. It is very frustrating trying to deal with dry skin and acne at the same time! This cleanser has helped a lot, but I try to use it only on the areas of my skin where I have an active breakout or on my problem area (mostly my T-zone) because at the end of the day, it is still a bit drying. For the rest of my face, I use a gentle skin cleanser. Yes, it's a bit of extra work using two different cleansers, but it's no different than using different masks for different parts of your face.

Great cleanser, bad bottle

This cleanser is very effective, but since I have very dry skin I cant use it every day. The size of the bottle and the little amount you need per use make it an excellent deal. However, and maybe they have changed the bottle design since I purchased mine, it is just an open bottle top. This makes it difficult to squeeze out the right amount since it is a gel and doesnt pour out. It also exposes it to more air when opened. I wish it had a shampoo bottle-like opening, so I could squeeze the right amount without worrying I was going to squeeze out a too much into my hand or watching it suck back up into the bottle trying to get it out..
