Effective, but irritating

Was looking for something to boost my current skincare routine. My esthetician raved about this product, so I decided to try it. Immediately my skin DID look more hydrated and youthful. Product also felt v. nice going on. However after several applications, I noticed my skin had become irritated -red w/ an uneven texture. Really wish Revision products had fewer irritating floral extracts. The lavender smell in this should have been a tip off that it wouldn't work for me. :/
