I have been using this serum for over a year now and it makes a difference. I rotate between the serum and retinol every other night for blemishes and hormonal acne. The serum has a strong smell, but is gentle on the skin and is not sticky or oily. I also haven’t had any issues with dryness due to me applying SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2-4-2 as my last night step. I have been battling with acne since adolescence and no longer do. For reference, I’m a 40+ year old woman with oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin.

Not for 40+ acne prone skin
I used Skinceuticals Blemish + Age Defense for a few months and it was a disappointment. The serum felt greasy on my skin, and instead of helping my hormonal acne, it actually made my cystic bumps along my jaw and cheeks worse. For the high price, I expected real results, but it only left my skin more irritated and inflamed—not worth it.

My new favorite
I have hormonal acne or maybe rosacea or could be both. Most of my breakouts happen on my chin and around the mouth. I decided to try this product although it's pretty expensive but I was so tired of spending $$ on all kinds of products that did little to nothing to combat the breakouts. So far, it's definitely helping with having new breakouts as often, although I still get a bump here and there. I use it morning and evening. It doesn't irritate or make my skin dry, which I like. Considering that I only use 2 drops per use, the bottle should last me a while. Once I use it for a prolong period of time, I'd be able to access whether or not this is a good investment and if I would repurchase.

This is my absolutely favorite go to remedy from any potential blemishes. I say "potential" because since I have started using Blemish + age defense, I do not have to worry about endless breakouts that I have to hide. This really is safe and reliable product. My to go for the occasional break out.
I've been buying this product for a few years now. It works well for my mature oily skin and the occasional pimple I get without over drying it. My husband and teenage daughter also use it. I wish it would come in a pump because the dropper's lid tents to melt over time so I use the other lid that comes with it, especially for traveling.

I purchased SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense to see if it would help with the small blackheads on my nose. I've only been using the product for a few weeks and I've noticed I have less blackheads and they're smaller. The instructions say to use the product one to three times a day. I only use it once a day, at night. I was hesitant to purchase the product because I was concerned it may be too harsh for my skin and it's pricey. Glad I purchased it because it's working.

Use this with the SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF Vitamin C Serum
I started with this product along with the SkinCeuticals AHA cleanser. I had some results. After more research, I added the SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF Viatmin C Serum. I thought they seemed a little redundant, but I was wrong. I have had much better results for my Perioral Dermatitis by using all three of the products together, day and night. I am happy enough with the results that I find the products worth their cost. Clear skin again (I am 70 years old) feels like a blessing!
