This Sobel retinol performs way above my expectations. After using a Retinol 2.0%, it delivers twice as much potency without the irritation or associated dryness. It will cause a peeling effect but that's what retinol does since it causes cell turnover. I do layer with an organic night cream. It firms and smooths the skin. I have sensitive skin and I can use it every night. I will repurchase in the future since it's a keeper.

Amazing retinol for price
I have tried many retinol serums.....and I regularly use a retin a prescription cream twice a week so I am always looking for something in between that is a little less strong but still potent enough to get results....so far this is the strongest retinol serum I have found without a prescription....I use it 3 days a week and my skin looks visibly smoother and brighter after just 3 weeks of using it.......this serum will definitely become part of my routine.....and so far it has not caused flaking or redness......

All the Benefits Without the Irritation
I began using retinol since the '80s when my dermatologist prescribed it for my acne vulgaris. In spite of the fact my retinol prescription only being .005% strength, I experienced flaky and peeling skin. I looked horrible, and as a result I stopped using it. I learned the benefits of retinol quite early, but I still refused to use it because of the bad reaction I had. That said, I was skeptical of using Sobel Skin Rx 4.5 % Retinol Complex Night Treatment, but after reading the reviews I though I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I have been using it for 3 weeks now, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made for my skin. I have experienced 0 irritation, and the lines on my forehead are going away fast. I know its hard to believe that 4.5% retinol wouldn't cause irritation, but nothing could be further from the truth.

I use this interchangeably with Retin-A. I do this to make my skin guess. I am 58 with dry skin and oily t-zone and this product works great especially for the neck and under-eye areas. In reading another review, it does take about 8 weeks for a retinol product to really show results. This one works great!

I gave it 4 stars due to slight odor and price. It goes away quickly and it is probably the Phosphatidylcholine. It can smell fishy sometimes. The texture is light, creamy and it absorbs quickly. It gentle enough to use under my eyes. I will continue to use and bought another one when it was on sale due to the price.

Purchased product about 3 weeks ago & have been using it as directed since. I have not seen any positive results so far only issue is my skin feels drier than normal. I believe it will take at least a few more weeks to see any observable signs of decreased lines. Trying to stay hopeful.
