This is a sticky gloss that looks very smooth on. It smells slightly of licorice and has no discernible taste. I got it because I wanted a tinted lip SPF with decent UVA protection (this is approximately PA++), which are quite hard to find. I have the plum color, and it can of course be applied sheerly--but shouldnt be if youre looking to get the full SPF protection. Applied generously its rather vampy against pale skin.

And with STRIVECTIN CLINICAL CORRECTOR ANTI-AGING LIP TINT SPF 20- I get the best of both worlds!! Its a perfectly moisturizer, plus SPF AND a very nice touch of color!!
