This is perfect paired with the Awaken shampoo. My hair feels much fuller and healthier using these products. Loving this cream!
Since trying the Awaken shampoo and conditioner (which I love) I decided to branch out and try the styling products, so I purchased the thickening cream. I absolutely love it. You don't need a lot, and I pair it with the thickening mousse. It gives me long lasting body and my hair does feel thicker. My hair actually feels great the next day too. It is a staple for me. Bonus...it is also a great heat protectant.

I purchased this since I liked the Surface Shampoo and Conditioner (Awaken for thinning hair) and my previous thickener, Alterna Hemp Thickening Compound, is apparently no longer being manufactured. What I like about the Surface Awaken Thickening Cream is that it provides hold as well as the thickening properties. It contains saw palmetto, a common ingredient used to help thinning hair. It is safe for colored hair. I am sort of freaked out since I was just starting to gain ground on my hair loss eight months after my last Hep. B vaccination. Then, in October, I had a flu vaccination followed by a tetanus vaccination and was dismayed and alarmed that the hair loss returned with a vengeance! I believe vaccinations are important but had I known that there was a possibility they could cause hair loss, I would have given getting vaccinations more thought.
