Not really for my fine hair
I was hoping this would work for me and protect my fine hair from excessive blow drying. The spray is a fine mist but it seemed to cause tangles in my hair that were hard to get out. I had to be extra careful using a brush while blow drying so I didn't break my hair. I tried letting my hair get almost dry before using it as well as using it on damp hair. Neither method seemed to work any better. It did provide good styling hold after my hair was dry but it definitely added more styling time and effort to my routine.

Hello, I want to start off by saying that I am an avid product user of Surface hair. When the original blowout line was announced this summer I was elated to try the new line. I will say that this product does as intended and it does protect your hair from heat and other elements very well. My hair feels extremely soft after use and blowout/styling, and feels just as healthy after every use and styling as it always does. It has a good fragrance that is not overpowering. My only warning/downside to this product is that it is best used on only slightly damp or dry hair. If you spray it on damp or wet hair and follow with a towel or blow-dry your hair will feel heavy and slightly crunchy until it is fully dried, and it takes a bit longer to dry.
