I have used this product for several years to control the psoriasis on the base of my scalp. Now that all of us are under so much stress due to Covid 19, this product is all the more important to use a couple of times a week or more. Even though it is tar based, it is still a good and gentle shampoo. I recommend that it be used as the directions suggest by putting it on for 15 to 30 minutes before washing the hair.

How do I say this?
Well, this stuff does what it's supposed to do. It stops the itching very very well. However, it is SO difficult to get through the horrid, medicinal smell that I have to psych myself up to use it. However, I DO use it at least once a week and it seems to resolve my scalp issues - dry itchiness from (1) using hair growth treatment and (2) mild psoriasis. The smell is the only reason for 3 stars. I do indeed recommend this shampoo but with that one caveat.
