My daughter and I introduced my husband to the Art of Shaving over 1 year ago when we gave him an introductory box with a tube of Sandlewood shaving cream, brush and lotion for Father's Day. He LOVED the scent and so enjoyed using the shaving brush and cream that it is now all he uses when he shaves each morning. I have sensitive skin and when it comes to shaving I’ve never found a shaving cream that doesn’t cause irritation or bumps and scruff comes back so quick. The Shaving Cream I always Come Back Too
I'm always trying different shaving creams but in my opinion, The Art of Shaving is the gold standard. It lathers great with or without a brush and I never get small nicks/irritations like other shaving creams. The Sandalwood scent is subtle and smells great. The main downside for this shaving cream is that leaves a lot of soap scum on my Gillette Fusion w/Flexball handle (and safety razor) compared with other brands although I've found foam cleaners make quick work of this problem. Another small bummer is that a few years back the AOS changed the packaging across the entire travel size line and stopped using airless pumps. I know using squeeze tubes saves money but it really did make quick work of measuring the exact amount of product needed to shave, how often I needed to reorder, and set them apart from the competition. Hopefully they'll changed back one day.
