Super for adding volume, original Toppik preferred for scalp coverage

Toppik was *the* diamond standard on TV/film sets (and often still is) for blending and filling in hairlines or sparse / thinning hair, adding volume, camouflaging extensions, hiding scalp show. It's used on actors without hair issues simply for volume (plus texturizing spray, partial wigs/toppers/extensions, various mousses, sprays, pomades etc but it's easier to shoot around a wig or extensions that will hold continuity for multiple takes). Toppik Pro advertises itself as clinging to existing hair, not to your scalp. This would be great if you have thinning/sparse hair or want more volume! However, if you have a sparse spot of scalp show - I had telogen effluvium after a stressful period, ie, a region where my scalp shows through that is gradually growing back; I am a woman with 1a long styled hair - original Toppik is preferable: it looks like powder and clings to/covers your scalp; Toppik Pro looks like fibers and tends to cling to whatever hair is in the area, rather than clinging to/covering the exposed scalp itself. Which does cover the scalp show by means of bulking up the hair, but is less ideal if this is your issue. The two have slightly different purposes and the quality is excellent, but choose the variation that fits for your needs.
