Game changer for smooth skin
I live in the desert and have sensitive skin, so using thick creams or even some facial spritzer for moisture cause small whiteheads on my delicate mid 50s skin. And, the least amount of products I use the better; so that's where dermabrasion works. I used to get a salon dermabrasion once every 3 mos, but due to cost, I needed an alternative. The trophy in this handheld device fits the bill as a substitute for a salon visit. It has plenty of suction, just be careful around your neck where your lymph nodes are closer to the body's surface. Periodically check the inside of the filter as you move along, because it tends to build up if you have not exfoliated in a while. You can distance off the buildup on the filter with a washcloth. The machine also helps with evening out porous areas. I've had the machine for a year and a half and have gotten my money's worth out of it. I also take it traveling with me, as it is lightweight.

Still undecided about the effectiveness of this device...
At the time of purchase I was undecided about purchasing this model or the more expensive one. This one was within my budgetary restrictions. I really wanted to incorporate weekly dermabrasion into my skin care regimen in hopes that my products would penetrate more deeply and be more effective. I also had a couple of blackheads that I was hoping this could extract. The device has not been helpful with the blackheads and I see a minor difference in the texture of my skin. To be fair, I do use daily products with glycolic so maybe that's why I only see a minimal difference. Maybe someone who does not currently exfoliate their skin would see a greater improvement in their skin.
