The metal teeth do a good job of going through my lashes after I apply mascara. Works much better than a plastic comb, and the mascara doesn't seem to build up on it. You have to do it while the mascara is still wet though. Once it's dry, the comb doesn't work nearly as well. I like the fact that it closes so the teeth won't get bent or broken.

The Tweezerman eyelash comb is the best. I use it after applying mascara to remove any clumps. The metal teeth on the comb are super close together. I find it perfect for separating lashes that stick together. The fact that it folds closed is such a bonus. Great for keeping it in your bag for touch ups. Just be careful when you use it...the metal tines are sharp. I use a magnifying mirror to make sure I don’t dive in too close to my eye. Highly recommend!

Like another review said, I also tried another brand's lash separator. It was subpar, but I did not know any better. I thought it was the best I could get. Until I tried this!! This is fabulous. It totally gets out all the clumps that some mascaras leave and separates my lashes beautifully. Caution: Be careful when using as it is incredibly sharp. It may not be appropriate to use if you cannot see well up close.
